So I am trying not to update this quite so often because I don't think anyone cares about constant progress information, ha. But I like to write and I don't have anything exciting going on in my life to update about in my livejournal, so I write about knitting here.
Anyway. The Vestee is all in one piece now, and I'm just about finished with the yoke. I decided on short sleeves for this one. It's the 12-month size, and he'll be a year in April. I am going to do the hood also.
I didn't work on my Swinging Stripe at all yesterday, but I did get some done since I last posted. I really like it. One more green stripe and then a small purple ribbed stripe, and the body will be done.
I also got started on a Jenny Linsky scarf for Minion, like this:
It's just a silly project to work on when I'm bored with everything else.
Here is a picture of Christian in his sleeping sack. I think Kelly put it on backwards because the stripe jogs should not be visible and there are buttons in the front which I do not see here, haha. Anyway, she says: "christian tried out his sleep sack for the 1st time last night, and we love it. we'd been swaddling him all the time but lately he hasn't wanted his arms in the blanket. plus this is easier because we don't have to unswaddle him to change the diaper and then have him wake up every time i go to reswaddle him." So yay.
And finally, I got new yarn in today, thanks to my birthday gift certificates...which, to be honest, didn't cover even half of the amount that I ordered, haha. One skein of bare merino superwash to dye for Katie, 7 skeins of Swish Worsted in Coast Gray, 5 of Comfy Worsted in Peony, and 12 of Comfy Worsted in Blackberry. :)
