Yarn holder

I've started knitting again. I'm trying to take it easy. Knowing me, I will be back in action for real soon, complete with painful hands, but until then, I have a quick project to share.

I decided recently that I need something like this, but why buy one when I can make one? I took an empty coffee can (coffee "cans" are plastic these days which I guess is good because now I won't slice myself up which is a very real possibility with metal, ha), cut a hole in the top, and painted it to suit my tastes. Ta-da! Yarn holder...thing:

I cut a hole in the lid with a carpet cutting tool. Then I painted with three coats of white to cover up the ugly dark green and added pink, blue, and purple flowers with green stems. And then I kind of splotchified the top, haha.

  2. Yes, you need to make one. I might need to make more! And I don't drink coffee, so I'm repossessing other people's garbage, haha.

  3. Haha :) My mom doesn't drink coffee from a can so I have to figure out where to get one.
